This is a magnetic (rather than air resistance) Turbo Trainer, which means the resistance can be adjusted by using the gears on your bike, giving fantastic variability in work rate. In comparison to the air fan trainers, these are wonderfully quiet in operation, although the tyre and tread pattern you are using makes a big difference to the noisiness of any trainer.
It comes fully pre-assembled and all you need to do is fit the supplied quick release skewer to the rear wheel.
